Tourism participants' psychological responses to terrorism and related security threats: Geographical conditionality and manifestations

Existing literature examining the impacts of safety and security on tourism has paid considerable attention to the role of the psychological responses of tourism participants. It has also confirmed the centrality of these responses in the process of how security threats influence tourist behaviour. However, no attempt has been made to clarify whether the psychological responses are also geographical in nature. The dissertation primarily intends to address this shortcoming by examining the influence of political- security threats. Therefore, its main aim is to identify and clarify the geographical conditionality and manifestations of tourism participants' psychological responses to terrorism and related security threats. The empirical part of the dissertation is the result of several conducted studies published in four journal articles. Therefore, multiple methods of data collection and analysis were used to achieve the main aim of the thesis. The work required a certain pragmatic approach to engage both positivist and more interpretivist methods. Still, consistency between the philosophical starting points and the adopted methods was not neglected, as it prevailed in the treatment of the sub-aims and in the resultant publication outputs. Topic of my thesis is Terrorism as a destabilizing element of national security. In my work I have drawn from domestic and foreign sources. The first part is devoted to the history, evolution of terrorism and terrorism used as a tool to promote ideas. Then I engaged in forms of terrorism, its methods and its impact on internal security matters. In the end, I made my own proposal for improving the situation in the fight against terrorism.

In my bachelor´s thesis I deal with history protection of citizens against terrorism and I write about legislative, which limits terrorism The other parts are about conception of protection of citizens, protection of citizens against terrorism and I write about joint rescue service, which is implement of protection of citizens. Basic Aspects of Population Protection against Consequences of Chemical Terrorism in the Czech Republic

The theme of my bachelor work is The basic aspect of population protection against conseqences of chemical terrorism in the Czech Republic. In my bachelor work, I drew from home and foreign sources over the past ten years. The opening part of my work deals of basic concepts relating to terrorism and its branches. It states some case studies of terrorist attacks against civil inhabitants with the aid of chemical agents. The middle part engages in a characteristic and dividing of particular chemical warfare agents and dangerous toxic chemical agents. There are stated lawful norms and measures used in the Czech Republic. Also processes of medical sectors Emergency Rescue System in provision of pre-hospital urgent care in cases of mass impairment of health. In closing I analyse preparedness of inhabitants in the Czech Republic to possibility of a chemical terrorist attack and I suggest a handbook „The danger of a chemical attack“ to civil inhabitants.

This theses is speaking about the posibilities of commit a terrorist action through the agency of the dangerous chemical substances or explosive devices in the Czech Republics shopping centers. Teoretical part wants to give an informations about legislative base of this dilema, characteristic of the shopping centers, characteristic of the disposable resources to the perpetration the terrorist action and the instruments for the solution of theses expectional events. The unique survey is base of practical parts. The survey was carry out to the fading out the best possibilities to commit a terrorist action. More than twenty experts were the respondents. The another parts of the practical part are the descriptions of the scenarios of the terrorist action, suggestions to the protection of the persons in the shopping center and the crisis plan for the shopping center to the solution of the expectional event which is describe in this theses.

Selected Soft Target Risks

The diploma thesis deals with selected risks of soft targets, which may have a negative impact on the safety and security of these objects. In the current, we can find an explanation of the concept of soft targets, the terrorism that affects them and possible ways of protecting those targets. In our own solution we find an evaluation of the vulnerability of soft targets, possible countermeasures and risks arising from these measures.

Civil aviation security and protection against illegal acts

This bachelor's thesis is focused on protection of civil aviation or rather on legal documents that provide this protection. In addition, the thesis describes two basic directions that aviation security deals with. The aim of this thesis is to compile a comprehensive overview of the basic documents with the special focus to L 17 (Annex 17). Along with this, provide answers to the ATPL sample questions specifically addressed to this regulation. In addition, the thesis describes several major accidents that have significantly affected the development of regulations as a starting point for creating legal documents. This is also linked to the history of these laws and agreements, which is also described.

Possible Misuse of Hazardous Chemical Industrial Toxic Substances

Bachelor thesis, „Possible misuse of hazardous chemical industrial toxic substances“, deals in the first part with legislation, which dictates conditions for handling with hazardous toxic substances. In the next part work covers with terrorism and chemical substances abusement in context with terrorism. Security of selected buildings and transport is also solved. The main aim of this work is to make a list of hazardous toxic industrial chemicals which are made in the industry of Czech republic and therefore can be abused easily. At the end of the work is the set of effective limitation of the potential abuse of dangerous toxic industrial substances provided and the guide how to behave in case of terrostist attack in the subway is designed.
